I finally recorded myself playing a rough piece on yidaki with a short extension to the mouthpiece in which there is embedded a piezo-electric element. The element itself costs about a euro.
The ouput is passed through the preamp of a mixer and then into a zoom b2.1u bass effects pedal. Passing the signal directly into the bass amp works but the sound is not fantastic..
Hope you like it:)
I plan to do some more, included some interesting feed-back effects;))

Hope to play the electric yidaki and medusa for some of you this summer:)
In the meantime, I wrote another entry in my slightly neglected blog about this
