could you give me an advice on how to remove wax or sugarbag from the MP before applying the milliput?

(if you're not lorretta but have something to suggest you're welcome of course!)

Hi Saldali.....
I reply to you in Italian because you are Italian too.
I hope my note help you in some way....if other people can help you (Loretta for exemple....)
Ciao....Luca!

Hi Mattheus

in this case, you could try pure citrus oil. It is quite volatile and acts more like a solvent than an oil. I tried it once for removing wax and was quite happy with the result. You'll have to let ithe citrus oil dry for a while after using it before you can add a milliput mouthpiece or so.

Hi

Only just got back from Amsterdam. :D

I've never used solvents. When i've had to replace beeswax i've just scraped off as much as i can roughing up the wood a fair bit and put the Milliput on. As long as the surface is fairly rough it'll stick.
